Microsoft Access 2016 Part 1

This introductory course will equip new students with an overview of Access basics, providing a beginner level foundation of the application and prepare learners for Microsoft Access 2016 Part 2.

Learners should have a working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows and another Microsoft Office

01: Building a Database

Learners will create and modify tables, set field properties, create input masks and lookup fields.

02: Creating Relationships

Learners will learn about relationship types, create junction tables and relate the tables in the database.

03: Creating Simple Queries

Learners will import data from Excel, create select, crosstab, and other special queries, set query criteria, and create a form using a query.

04: Creating Complex Queries

Learners will create and format calculated fields in queries, set multiple query conditions, set a query sort order, and use functions to develop a query expression.

05: Finding Unmatched and Duplicate Records 

Learners will create special queries designed to find unmatched records between tables and find duplicate entries in a database table.



 

 Microsoft Access 2016 Part 2

 

This intermediate level course will expand learners' knowledge with an in-depth look at Access 2016 and prepare learners for Microsoft Access 2016 Part 3.

06:- Creating Forms and Subforms in Design View 

Learners will use form design view to place selected fields on the form, format fields and forms, arrange and group fields to streamline data entry, and create and format subforms.

07: Creating Calculated Fields in Forms

Learners will create calculated fields in forms.

08: Working With Form Controls

Learners will modify fields in forms by changing their data sources, disable and add tips to form controls, and set control properties to protect data integrity.

09: Printing Forms

Learners will enhance elements of the forms and set print options for printing forms individually or in a continuous layout.

10: Creating Simple Reports

Learners will create a report in Design view, modify the report, format the report, then create calculated and total controls on a report.

11: Creating Complex Reports

Learners will also import reports from other databases and create custom reports.

This advanced level course will further learners' proficiency with an extensive look at Access 2016.

Learners will customize Access settings, explore database security features, and set a database password. 

13: Creating a Switchboard and Navigation Form

Learners will create two user interfaces: a switchboard and a Navigation Form.

14: Splitting a Database

Learners will split a database so database tables and their data are protected.

15: Sharing Data With Other Programs

Learners will explore the numerous ways of sharing Access data with other Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel.

16: Formatting Data for the Web

Learners will identify ways and tools to use when you need to format data for other systems and for the web.
