SharePoint Online Site User

In this course, SharePoint Online Site User, learners will learn to use resources on a typical SharePoint Team Site in the course of performing normal business tasks.


This course is designed for Microsoft® Windows® and Microsoft Office users who are transitioning to a SharePoint environment, and who need to access information from and collaborate with team members within Microsoft SharePoint (using either a Microsoft SharePoint Online or a Microsoft SharePoint 2019 server).


Note: This course covers the comprehensive suite of SharePoint online features and functions, which may go beyond what is available if the production environment is limited to SharePoint 2019 servers. How the environment is customized and configured will also affect how production sites compare to the sample sites shown in class.


To ensure success in this course, learners should :

  • Be familiar with using personal computers
  • Have experience using a mouse and keyboard 
  • Have basic end-user skills working with Windows
  • Know how to open and close applications

  • Know how to navigate basic file structures
  • Know how to manage files and folders
  • Have basic competence with Internet browsing
  • Have basic end-user skills with any or all of the Microsoft Office applications

In this module, learners will learn how to access SharePoint sites, navigate a SharePoint site, and access SharePoint from their mobile device.
102: Working with Documents, Content, and Libraries
This module is for learners who know how to interact with SharePoint Team Sites. In this module, learners will learn how to store, access and modify documents and file, add and populate lists, and configure list views, filters, and grouping.
103: Interacting in SharePoint

This module is for learners who know how to work with documents, content, and libraries. In this module, learners will learn how to configure their Delve profile, share and follow content, and search for content.
104: Working with Lists

This module is for learners who know how to search, share and follow content. In this module, learners will learn how to synchronize SharePoint files with OneDrive, save and share Microsoft 365 documents, and manage file versions and document recovery.
105: Integrating with Microsoft Office
This module is for learners who know how to work with lists. In this module, learners will learn how to manage Microsoft Outlook with SharePoint, manage Microsoft Teams with SharePoint, and manage tasks with Planner and SharePoint.

System Requirements

Learners' PCs should meet the following requirements: 

  • 2 GB of available hard disk space 
  • SVGA monitor at 1024 × 768 or higher resolution
  • A version of Windows support by Microsoft
  • The latest version of Chrome browser (preferred browser)

Dual Screens

For the best learning experience in our instructor-led training portal, we recommend learners use two screens for training.

  1. On the Remote Lab screen, learners will complete training exercises under the watchful eye of their instructor.
  2. On the Virtual Classroom screen, learners will see and hear their instructor as they follow the instructor's step-by-step directions. The virtual classroom screen can be a big screen in a conference room or a learner's second monitor.

Instructor-led Portal System Check

Our system check will check the readiness of your learners' browser, internet connectivity, screen resolution, microphone and camera. The test link will be provided to you prior to your class.
