Depending on your subscription, applications may include desktop or cloud-based versions of Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word. O365: Collaborating with Microsoft Teams for the Desktop

This course is intended for business users and knowledge workers in a variety of roles and fields who have and who are now extending Microsoft Office to a collaborative cloud-based Microsoft 365 environment. In this course, learners will get an overview of Microsoft Teams, learn how to converse and share in Team, and make calls and attend meetings in Teams.


To ensure success in this course, learners should have competence in a desktop-based version of the Microsoft Office 2010, 2013, or 2016 edition of the Microsoft Office productivity suite including:
  • Excel Part 1
  • Outlook Part 1
  • PowerPoint Part 1
  • Word Part 1
  • Using Microsoft Windows 10

For learners who have a basic understanding of Microsoft Teams. This module will cover conversations in Teams, post creation, @mentions, save options, file discovery and sharing, profile, settings, notifications, activity feed, follow and favorite, how to converse and share in Teams, configuring your Teams profile, and conversing and sharing in teams.
203: Call and Meet in Teams
For learners who know how to converse and share in Teams. This module will cover calling in teams, meet now, meeting scheduling, call and meeting controls, persistent meeting history, call and meeting management tools, working while meeting, how to call and meet in Teams, initiating a call in Teams, meeting in Teams, scheduling a meeting in Teams
204: Collaborate with Office 365 Apps and Teams
For learners who know how to make calls and meet in Teams. This module will cover co-author documents in Teams, email integration, command box, @mention and app access from the command box, search, how to collaborate in Teams, collaborating with Office 365 and teams, and working with the Teams command box.

System Requirements

Learners' PCs should meet the following requirements: 

  • 2 GB of available hard disk space 
  • SVGA monitor at 1024 × 768 or higher resolution
  • A version of Windows support by Microsoft
  • The latest version of Chrome browser (preferred browser)

Dual Screens

For the best learning experience in our instructor-led training portal, we recommend learners use two screens for training.

  1. On the Remote Lab screen, learners will complete training exercises under the watchful eye of their instructor.
  2. On the Virtual Classroom screen, learners will see and hear their instructor as they follow the instructor's step-by-step directions. The virtual classroom screen can be a big screen in a conference room or a learner's second monitor.

Instructor-led Portal System Check

Our system check will check the readiness of your learners' browser, internet connectivity, screen resolution, microphone and camera. The test link will be provided to you prior to your class.
