Excel 2019 ​Part 6

Excel 2019 Part 6 consists of modules designed by DJL Training for experienced Excel 2019 users. This course is for learners who wish to learn more about Excel functions. This course will cover functions in the following categories: database, date and time, information, logical, lookup and reference, math and trig, statistical, and text.


To ensure success in this course, learners should have completed Excel 2019 Part 1 or have equivalent knowledge and experience. Excel 2019 Part 2 and 3 is helpful.

601: Database Functions
For learners who wish to explore functions in the Database category. Learners should be comfortable reading and writing formulas in Excel. In this advanced level module, learners will learn how to use a variety of functions in the Database category.
602: Date and Time Functions
For learners who wish to learn how to explore the Date function category. Learners should be comfortable reading and writing formulas in Excel. In this advanced level module, learners will learn how to use a variety of functions in the Date category.
603: Information Functions
For learners who wish to learn how to explore the Information function category. Learners should be comfortable reading and writing formulas in Excel. In this advanced level module, learners will learn how to use a variety of functions in the Information category.
604: Logical Functions
For learners who wish to learn how to explore the Logical function category. Learners should be comfortable reading and writing formulas in Excel. In this advanced level module, learners will learn how to use a variety of functions in the Logical category.
605: Lookup and Reference Functions
For learners who wish to learn how to explore the Lookup and Reference function category. Learners should be comfortable reading and writing formulas in Excel. In this advanced level module, learners will learn how to use a variety of functions in the Lookup and Reference functions category. (VLOOKUP is covered in EXC16-208.)
606: Math and Trig Functions
For learners who wish to learn how to explore the Math and Trig function category. Learners should be comfortable reading and writing formulas in Excel. In this advanced level module, learners will learn how to use a variety of functions in the Math and Trig category.
607: Statistical Functions
For learners who wish to learn how to explore the Statistical function category. Learners should be comfortable reading and writing formulas in Excel. In this  advanced level module, learners will learn how to use a variety of functions in the Statistical category.
608: Text Functions
For learners who wish to learn how to explore the Text function category. Learners should be comfortable reading and writing formulas in Excel. In this intermediate level module, learners will learn how to use a variety of functions in the Text category.
609: Creating Custom Functions
For learners who wish to learn how to create custom functions. Learners should be comfortable reading and writing formulas in Excel. In this expert level module, learners will learn how to create and edit a simple custom function.

In our Training Portal, learners access DJL Training laptops for live online hands-on training.

System Requirements

Learners' PCs should meet the following requirements: 

  • 2 GB of available hard disk space 
  • SVGA monitor at 1024 × 768 or higher resolution
  • A version of Windows support by Microsoft
  • The latest version of Chrome browser (preferred browser)

Dual Screens

For the best learning experience in our instructor-led training portal, we recommend learners use two screens for training.

  1. On the Remote Lab screen, learners will complete training exercises under the watchful eye of their instructor.
  2. On the Virtual Classroom screen, learners will see and hear their instructor as they follow the instructor's step-by-step directions. The virtual classroom screen can be a big screen in a conference room or a learner's second monitor.

Instructor-led Portal System Check

Our system check will check the readiness of your learners' browser, internet connectivity, screen resolution, microphone and camera. The test link will be provided to you prior to your class.
