How are your prices determined?

Our prices are based on:

  • the length of the class
  • the complexity of the class
  • the number of learners in the class
  • whether the class is onsite or online
  • whether the class is synchronous or asynchronous
  • whether the class is hands-on, seminar-style or online
  • whether you select a class from our catalog or require custom content

What is the maximum number of students per class?

Class size is determined by the subject matter and delivery method. Generally speaking, the ideal class size for a live, hands-on, instructor-led, class in a traditional classroom setting is 8-12 learners per class. Seminars and webinars may accommodate many more learners.

Is there an additional cost for books and travel?

Our standard pricing includes books and handouts. There are no travel costs for training in the Triangle and surrounding areas.

I've seen similar classes for less money with other training providers. Why is that?

We can not comment on why another company charges less or more, but we can tell you that our trainers are experts at what they do and command fees beyond those paid to beginners.

Will you work with us on price?

We believe our prices are fair and reasonable. For less expensive options, consider our self-paced courses, webinar training and online mentored courses for classes available in these formats.

Do you offer evening classes?

Yes. Onsite and online evening classes are available upon request.

Can we send our employees to your location for training?

We do not have a brick and mortar training location. By default, we come to you. If you do not have a classroom or space conducive for training, one can be arranged for you. We can also advise on whether or not your class can be delivered effectively in a live online session.

What equipment is required in the training room?

A projector system to display the instructor's computer screen is required. The instructor will bring a laptop to connect to your projector. A whiteboard is preferred, but not required.

What are the learner's PC minimum requirements?

For the best experience, we recommend:
  • A modern computer (>1Ghz) running Microsoft Windows Vista (SP2) (or higher)
  • A modern browser such as Chrome or Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 (or higher)
  • A high speed connect to the internet. Wireless is not preferred.
  • A cable, DSL or WAN Internet Connection (greater than 1Mb speed)
  • A monitor capable of 1024 x 768 pixel resolution.
  • Internet access and the ability to download files from firstclass.djltraining.com.
  • The class version of the software must be installed on your computers prior to class.

What is FirstClass LMS?

FirstClass LMS is our Learning Management System. Learners login to FirstClass LMS to download class files before the class. Managers login to check learner progress. Learners return to the LMS after training for online resources and Q&A with their instructor.
